FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

The U.S. Department of Justice will award competitive grants of up to $150,000 to Weed and Seed Communities to support efforts to fight crime, drugs and gangs.
Grants of up to $750,000 are now available to government agencies under the Second Chance Act Youth Offender Reentry Initiative, which fund demonstration programs designed to promote community reintegration of juveniles released from prison, jail, and juvenile facilities
Reclaiming Futures, a model program that helps youths involved in the criminal-justice system access addiction treatment and other services, will be expanded to three more communities thanks to a new, $2.3-million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Obama administration plans to establish a $50-million social-innovation fund intended to leverage corporate and foundation support to expand innovative nonprofits.

Now for venting....The tree I bought and paid to have planted 2 weeks ago is laying over on one of my rose bushes the wind has been blowing so hard. Finally won battle with Bud's N' Blossoms to re-plant it and stake it better. Love You

This has been a difficult and challenging week at work. I would have to say probably one of the most difficult in recent memory. The ironic thing about it was that the difficulty wasn't created by the individuals I work with but rather the staff.

Thank you, The site is a work in progress - kind of like me. I also thank God daily for not only everything in my life, but also for my family. Thanks for being there for me when there seemed like I was determined to make an exit from the world as we know it. I love you as well and definitely glad you are my sister.
